Hello all of you! This week was a weird one, it seems like not a ton happened for some reason. I'll just tell you about it a little.
So our week started off normal, finding people and teaching people and whatnot. I ate a sandwich that we named the "McKick' Fila". You can probably guess what it was made of. We got to meet the person in the jail finally! She's pretty nice, actually, I guess prison humbled her. Later that day was where things got interesting, we were tracting, talked to people as usual, and when we got back our rear window was shot out! There was a tiny hole like the size of a BB gun or maybe like a .22, but there wasn't any exit hole and we couldn't find the thing. So we duct taped a plastic bag over it until we got it fixed. We had to drive about 100 miles to get it fixed too, it was such a hassle to set up because we needed to get the church info, it took up a good chunk of our time this week. It makes a cool mission story though, ill send some of the pictures. Oh and there was a sweet stake event about the Book of Mormon for nonmembers and it was awesome. And one of our less active members has a samurai sword apparently.
We've been talking about the Book of Mormon a lot recently. Everything from ancient Hebrew poetic structures called chiasmas to Lehi's house. None of that really matters (it is interesting), all that really matters is the promise in the back of the book, Moroni 10:3-5. It's the most powerful tool for a missionary, it contains the fullness of the gospel, there are chapters that just go through the missionary lessons principle by principle. I've come to appreciate it a ton more out here. Check it out y'all, if you've read it before look for the wacky stuff and then you'll get bored and go back to reading it normal again. Keep the studies up!
