Hey yall, what's up? Big cool stuff is happening here in Georgia, tornados are coming for us! Jk, its further south, and we have a new president! Plus there's going to be a ton of changes to how missionary schedules work. I don't know yet what's up, but rumor has it that we now get to decide for ourselves how to best use our time. It's going to be ridiculous. Actually, what's going to happen is a lot of confusion, good missionaries will do good things with it, lazy missionaries will do bad things. Anyways, What an eventful week, I'll give you some highlights. So, we got to volunteer at a place where we walk dogs and play with cats, it's pretty fun, and it's a great place to meet people. I went to a dinner where both participants only spoke Spanish, and we only speak English. That was interesting. Oh, and another dinner the member feeding us kind of randomly left and started chain smoking in the back room, so we helped her clean up and kind of e
Dear Missionary Parents,   The storms that have been passing through Georgia have not affected the Georgia Atlanta North Mission in any way.  All missionaries are safe and accounted for and they are continuing to happily share the gospel with others.  Thank you for your support and prayers.  Sister Spackman

Hey fam. I'm in Dawsonville now! It's a lot different than shallowford, this place is much less developed and much more country. I've already had some crazy stuff happen, oh and also my address is now 2223 bayberry ct dawsonville ga 30534. We live right by some outlet malls, its really good for contacting in. I'm so pumped to be here, let me tell you some of the shenanigans we've gotten up to. But first, ill talk about my new companion a bit. My companion is named Elder Larsen. He was also trained by Elder Kirk, so we're actually brothers. He's a cool guy, he likes cars and he wants to work, so all is well in zion. His favorite color is orange. I have a lot of pictures this week, there's a convenience store that used to be a Kkk meeting house, you can still see the letters. The first person that I met here was a guy named Brother Carlton. Hes pretty cool, he has a curly handlebar mustache and a ton of records for shooting animals and his own gun sto

Hey there all you boys and girls! How was your week? I hope all was well. All was really well with us. Also transfer news today, I'm going to Dahlonega! It's a ways out there, I'm looking forward to it a ton. We got snow here, and snow in Georgia means ice. It basically starts raining and then the rain freezes and people get stuck in their cars. It was cool at first, but we were on bike this week and that meant we had to be in at dark some days. It was a weird feeling, we had nothing to do. Also I took some nice pics of the snow. Anyways we had some highlights I'm sure. I got to go to the temple this week! Elder Nadybal had a recent convert that went through for himself, and Cheryl went through for baptisms the day before! It was a really temple filled week, which Is the best kind I think. Like I said a lot of our adventures this week were because of the ice, for example, we got to install a camera system, we got to make magnets for I our ward mission plan, we got t

Haciendos my familia and also mi friends!  Happy New Year! Things have finally calmed down a bit, and I can write a decent email. This was an eventful week! We tracted and a bunch of stuff in the rain, I went on exchange with the zone leaders and we had a blast, you know, just missionary stuff. I'll give a few highlights. We were invited to a wedding, it was ok, there were a few nonmembers and stuff, we ate some enormous burritos, seriously, our czech friend made two for each of us and they were the size of cafe rio burritos. We talked with a man named Mims about math and religion in a McDonalds for like 45 minutes. We also had a lesson with a less active person in our ward who likes being baptized. It turns out that she has joined about 5 other churches, and she still likes to go to our temples and do baptisms there. She also sees upwards of 10 Jesus's wherever she goes. Let's just say we probably won't go back for a long while, and I don't think she's rea
