Week 8 Surgery??
A lot happened this week. In fact, it was ranked top ten (even though
there have only been 8) until Sunday happened. I'll tell you the bad
first. Remember how my companions appendix ruptured my first week into
the mission? Well now they think that's happening to me. I'm currently
writing this from a hospital bed😂. I'll send pictures. They don't
know if it is my appendix for sure. Apparently the CT scan shows
inflammation around where my appendix is, but the weird thing is my
appendix is apparently hiding behind my other stomach stuff, so they
can't see it.
All in all, It was a pretty brutal Saturday night, went into the urgent
care and they told me to go to the ER. Idk I think I'll be fine,
they'll do surgery later today if it is my appendix and if not I'm on
antibiotics for now which might make me better. I'll give you guys an
update if I get out of surgery before 6 pm. Also I got to use morphine
on my mission.
Anyways a lot of other good happened this week, we got to meet and
find a ton of people, like three or four really solid ones, which is a
lot. Our prime person committed to baptism (no date yet, but we'll get
there), we helped a lot of old people, I bought a sick Ferris wheel
tie for 50 cents, I drank the worlds biggest smoothie. Idk, I can't
remember a lot without looking back on my journal, which is why we use
them I guess. For some reason, I forgot to bring it with me.
The coolest thing that happened this week has to do with that prime
investigator that I mentioned. Do you remember that story I told a few
weeks back about how everything fell through and we were able to find
her at exactly the right time and place? Seriously, it was like a five
minute window she was available for. Anyways, I got to hear her side
of it, she thought we were the good ol' Jehovahs Witness, and she was
going to tell us she wasn't going to join our "cult", but some kind of
still small voice told her she needed to hear what we had to say. Also
she said she saw light in my eyes. I was pretty pumped, I couldn't
believe it. It just goes to show that some people are being prepared,
and the lord knows who needs to be there at what time and at what
place. It's great to be out on a mission.
P.S. I heard/saw Carey got baptized! Congratulations! I saw pictures,
Carey you look good in all white lol.
P.P.S. I was just told they're definitely taking me in to surgery. They
will remove my appendix unless the intestine is really inflamed,
because then the stitches wouldn't hold. Either way, I'm still going
to have surgery.
